Comic's presence lights up Change Your Life For The Better OSU's awareness week

As part of OSU's Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Awareness Week, comedienne Marga Gomez performed at the Wexner Center Film and Video Theater in a free show. The ticket was tagged Marga Gomez-Half Cuban, Half Lesbian, and the transplanted San Franciscan came through with a rollicking mini-crash course on Latin culture and a lot of sparkling sexual satire.

One of the absolute best of a new crop of gay comics-actually, one of the best gay or straight, Gomez' dexterity is her effortless monologues and hilarious punditry; her acting skill is as apparent as her writing talents. With her sexy grin, effervescence, and distinctive voice, this woman must be flooded with acting offers. Her credits thus far only include a momentary appearance in Batman Forever, but that movie was wasting her time. She needs a film of her own. Quickly. You just don't find this kind of attractive and magnetic stage presence every day.
